A Message from Police Department

 

The men and women of the Falfurrias Police Department are committed to providing the highest-quality service possible to make our community a better, safer place to live and work. There are 12 sworn officers who are dedicated to serve and assist you in any way possible. We serve a population of just over 5,292.

Our patrol area consists of approximately 19 square miles. We are committed to providing the best service to the community.

FAQ’s Police Department

 

We are located at 203 E. Allen St. on the Northeast, corner of E. Allen St. and S. Caldwell St.

The Falfurrias Police Department is in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. The business office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, except for holidays.

The citizens complaint form can be picked up from the front lobby at the Falfurrias Police Department. After you have completed the form you will need to return to the Falfurrias Police Department, Chief of Police Ramiro Gonzalez, Asst. Chief Alberto Gonzalez or Lieutenant Balde Lozano will visit with you.

The Falfurrias Police Department does offer ink fingerprinting when available. There is a charge of $10 per card, and you are responsible for bringing your own fingerprint card(s) with you.

If you are involved in a vehicle accident, you should allow approximately 7 business days for the report to be entered into our system before trying to obtain a copy. There is a charge of $6.00 for all accident reports that is payable with money order only.

If you reported a crime, you can pick of a copy of the offense report from the Falfurrias Police Department during normal business hours, or you can mail us your request to the address below.  There is a charge of $10.00 for the report .You will be asked to present a photo I.D. before the report is released to you. 

If you want to obtain a copy of a report and you are not listed as the reporting party, you will need to submit an Open Records Request. Please allow a minimum of 10 working days for us to respond. We will contact you to advise if there any charge(s) for the report(s).

Please note that Brooks County Jail Facility houses all jail prisoners for the Falfurrias Police Department .It takes approximately 30 minutes for an inmate to be processed and booked into the Brooks County Jail after their arrest. You need to contact the jail services to make arrangement for visitations or other information pertaining to an inmate(s)

A child under 8 years old, unless the child is taller than four feet nine inches, must be restrained in a child passenger safety seat in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. There are certain types of vehicles and situations exempted.

The City of Falfurrias ordinance currently does not allow for the shooting off of any fireworks within the city limits of Falfurrias, TX.
