Falfurrias is the county seat of Brooks County, Texas, United States. The town is named for founder Edward Cunningham Lasater's ranch, La Mota de Falfurrias. In 1893, the Falfurrias ranch was one of the largest in Texas at some 350,000 acres.
The city is centered around the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and State Highway 285 and is approximately 81 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, 90 miles southeast of Laredo, and 36 miles south of Alice. Population was 6,200 as of 2010.

- ITEM 5.) CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve Election Services Contract with Brooks County Elections Administrator for General and Special Election on May 10, 2014.
- ITEM 6.) CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve renewal of contract with Lamar Companies for City billboard and consideration of additional location.
- ITEM 7.) CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: Proposal from Gateway Planning Group Inc. to undertake tasks and provide deliverables for completion and implementation of Comprehensive Plan.
- ITEM 8.) BRIEFING, DISCUSSION, AND DIRECTION CONCERNING: To approve clean-up of Falfurrias Volunteer Fire Department property by City of Falfurrias Public Works in partnership with Brooks County.
- ITEM 9.) CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve appointment of three (3) police officers and one (1) reserve officer, set salary, and effective date of appointment as recommended by Police Chief and City Administrator.

CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve a $1,200 offer by Arnold Mireles to purchase tax sale property on Lot 13, Block ‘B’, Rachal Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume ‘35’ Page 39, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Simon Treviño by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a Resolution No.XXX.

CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve a $1,200 offer by Arnold Mireles to purchase tax sale property on Lot 10, Block ‘B’, Rachal Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume ‘5’ Page 242, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Juliana Maldonado et al. by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a Resolution No.XXX.

CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING: To approve a $4,400 offer by Arnold Mireles to purchase tax sale property on Lot 5, 6, and 7, Block 12, Falfurrias Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume ‘225’ Page 491, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Rosa Maria Longoria by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a Resolution No.XXX.
