Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting, of the City Council, of the City of Falfurrias will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the 1st of May, 2013, in the Conference Room in the City Hall Building located at 205 E. Allen Street in the City of Falfurrias, in Brooks County.
If during the course of this Council Meeting, the City Council should determine that a closed meeting or executive session of the Council is required, such closed meeting or executive session will be conducted during or soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this notice. This closed meeting or executive session will follow the guidelines and subject matter as set forth under Chapter 551 of Texas Government Code and an amendments thereto.
At such Regular Meeting, the following subjects will be discussed by the City Council of the City of Falfurrias, Texas

3. CITIZEN COMMENTS: This is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the City Council on any issue. City Council may not discuss any presented issue, nor may any action be taken on any issue at this time. (Attorney General Opinion – JC 0169)
4. Approval of monthly bills
5. Approval of minutes
NEW BUSINESS
6. Discussion and possible action on approval of Election Services Contract with Brooks County Elections Administrator Department for General Election on May 11, 2013.
7. Discussion and possible action on renewal of Municipal Golf Course contract with Falfurrias Golfer’s Association.
8. Discussion and possible approval of consolidating tax collection services of the City of Falfurrias with the Brooks County Tax Office.
9. Discussion and appropriate action authorizing City Consultant Ryan Murphy to submit grant applications to the Texas Capital Fund. (At no direct cost to City of Falfurrias, consultant to receive funding fee as authorized by the State of Texas from grant upon award).
10. Discussion and appropriate action authorizing City Consultant Ryan Murphy to submit grant application for Federal Brownfield Planning Grant. (At no cost to City of Falfurrias, consultant will submit application under consultant services fee, and will only receive reasonable travel, and pre-approved reimbursable expenses)
11. Discussion and appropriate action authorizing City Consultant Ryan Murphy to submit grant application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPW, TMTC), for the dedication of 20 acres (more or less) for the creation of a trails park, as well as a long-term grant application for the regional wetland, water conservation project of 750 acres (more or less). (Consultant to receive funding fee as authorized and funded by the State of Texas and any reasonable pre-approved travel expenses.)

Discussion and possible action to approve a $1,100 offer by Savannah Garcia to purchase tax sale property on Lot 2, Block E, Maupin Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, Texas as described in Volume 26, Page 440, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Andrea Gonzalez Garza by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a resolution.
13. Discussion and possible action to approve a $2,500 offer by Leroy Lee Salinas to purchase tax sale property on Lot 10, Block 1, Robert R. Scott Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume 100, Page 361, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Ruben G. Gonzalez, Leonarda Gonzalez, and Elizabeth Gonzalez by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a resolution.

14. Discussion and possible action to approve a $4,500 offer by Maria D. Gonzalez to purchase tax sale property on Lot 14, Block N, Maupin Addition, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume 62, Page 499, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Dominga Garza by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a resolution.
15. Discussion and possible action to approve a $1,400 offer by Tomas R. Johnson to purchase tax sale property on Lot 4, Block 1, Barrera Addition No. 2, an addition to the City of Falfurrias, as described in Volume 26, Page 548, Deed Records of Brooks County, Texas belonging to Manuel Basaldua by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair & Sampson delinquent attorneys and approve a resolution.
